Growing Acorns Parent’s Day Out serves children ages 12 months through 5 years old who are not yet in kindergarten. Our program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and provides safe, nurturing, faith-based care in a loving classroom environment.

Tuition and Fees
We want tuition and fees to feel clear from the beginning. As you review Parents Day Out enrollment, this section explains the monthly tuition and yearly fees.
- Monthly tuition: $250 per child
- Registration fee: $50 per child, per year
- Annual supply fee: $75 per child
- Cot fee: $15 per child, per year for Seedling and Sprout Rooms
Tuition is due on the first school day of each month. Payments received after the grace period may include a late fee.

Our Parents Day Out enrollment process is simple and helps us make sure each child is placed in the right room.
Enrollment Steps
- Submit an application
- Application is reviewed
- Registration fee and first month’s tuition are collected
- Schedule or complete a tour
- Receive next steps before your child’s first day
Enrollment remains open until each room reaches capacity. Once a room is full, children may be placed on a waiting list.
Age Groups
Children are placed in rooms based on age, development, and availability. During the Parents Day Out enrollment process, our team helps make sure each child is placed in the room that best fits their age and stage.
Seedling Room
For children ages 12 to 30 months.
Focused on safety, trust, play, and gentle routines.
Sprout Room
For children 2 to 3 years old.
Focused on independence, social skills, routines, and confidence.
Sapling Room
For children ages 3 to 5 years old.
Focused on preschool readiness, faith, early learning, and classroom confidence.
What to Bring
Before your child begins, families will complete enrollment paperwork and receive details about what to bring.
Growing Acorns provides two snacks during the school day. Parents provide lunch each day, and the program is nut-free.
Daily items may include:
- Labeled lunchbox
- Labeled cup or water bottle
- Complete change of clothes
- Diapers, pull-ups, and wipes if needed
- Rest-time items
Calendar and Closures
Growing Acorns PDO runs year-round with scheduled breaks and closures. Families will receive calendar information so they know what to expect throughout the year.
Weather-related delays and closures follow Anderson County Schools.

Enrollment is open until each room reaches capacity. Once a room is full, families may join the waiting list.
How much is tuition?

Do we have to attend Oak Ridge Baptist Church to enroll?
No. Families do not need to attend Oak Ridge Baptist Church to apply.
